1 pkg. dry yeast
1 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. canola oil
2 c. buttermilk
6 c. flour
4 t. baking powder
1/4 t. baking soda
1 1/2 t. salt
Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Then blend together with sugar, oil, buttermilk, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. At this point, you may store the mixture in a sealed dish in the refrigerator. When ready to use, let rise for 1-2 hours in a dry warm place.
Flour hands and form a handful into an orb-like shape.
Bake at 400 degrees on a baking sheet for 20-25 minutes, until lightly browned.
